教學資源網-Forest Adventure 之教學資源應用

一、作者設計此評量之理念
Since Taiwan is an EFL country, our aims of education should be diversified in cultivating various communicative competences. Contemporary language assessment must be diversiform. Summative assessmentformative assessment are both included to evaluate students’ learning.Moreover, task-based assessment was emphasized in my teaching motion, for it represented their learning motives and enthusiasm.
Traditional evaluation only focused on test-based assessment and often ignored students’ other performance in class. This kind of subjective assessment weakened kids’ language acquisition and threatened them to put down the English books. Attracting students’ active learning is the initiative step when teaching English; therefore, I not only assessed visible outside performance, but evaluated invisible inside learning attempt. For the reason, the test is made to speculate students’ learning effect and combined with interesting story frame to draw their attention.
二、作者所提供之此教材所配合的單元教學活動和如何應用於課堂教學
This teaching material contains reading and writing assessment, therefore, it can assess learners’ integrative ability in English learning. And this material can be applied in the end of semester to evaluate students’ learning achievement. Two ways could be adopted to finish the assignment.
1.    Individual work: students have to finish the whole assignment individually.
2.    Group work: Two to three students in one group, and they have to finish the whole assignment cooperatively.
After the assignment is done, the instructor demonstrates the teaching material on blackboard and discusses the answer with all students.
